Medical studies have shown that the antioxidants in tomatoes, along with broccoli can lower prostate cancer risk. Foods with animal fats can increase the risk. Current studies are still evaluating the value of antioxidant supplements, but food scientists are stating that they’re comfortable advocating that all men should eat far more vegetables than they currently do. A vegetable based diet could indeed lower the risk of prostate cancer.
There’s also observational evidence that both tomato and broccoli consumption helps reduce risk of prostate cancer. In tomatoes, nutrients called carotenoids, particularly lycopene, could help reduce the risk of prostate cancer. Lycopene is the major red pigment that makes tomatoes so red. Broccoli contains sufur compounds that may be helpful in detoxifying carcinogens. Read the rest of this entry

The prostate is a male sex glad that is located in close proximity to the bladder and is approximately walnut-sized. This gland’s purpose is to store and release the alkaline fluid in semen to lengthen the life of the sperm as it travels to the highly acidic area of the vagina. It would be nearly impossible to impregnate someone without the help of the prostate.
The prostate is susceptible to disease and infection since it primarily functions as a gland. Therefore, men are told to have prostate exams regularly and take prostate supplements to benefit their health and to give them necessary prostate nutrition.
